Privacy by Design

Given the challenges arising from the growing use of digital solutions caused by the pandemic, this webinar will focus on how to ensure that digital products are responsible, ethical, and transparent. The objective of this webinar is to present the principle of Privacy by Design and its pillars, how to use this framework for the design of a microfinance product and what benefits that creates.

Privacy by Design may go beyond the requirements of national law for customer protection, as it begins with a commitment by the financial service provider to ensure that the development of a product or service is founded on respect for the client and an understanding of their capabilities, both financial and technological. An example of the implementation of this framework in practice will be shared by a financial institution.
