Pathways Through Platform Livelihoods in Indonesia

This pathways study aims to understand digital platforms as a livelihood source, capturing and contrasting the self-reported state of participants before, during, and after engaging on platforms. Respondents across various platform sectors were recruited for this study including ride-hailing, food prep, and local services, freelance, e-commerce, and social commerce.

The study looks into what drives people to participate in platform livelihoods, what makes them to stay or leave, and how platform participation affects their wellbeing, economic status, financial inclusion, and mobility.
