Survey Results 2021: Perspectives of the Microfinance Sector

This study is based on a survey conducted in April 2021 with leaders of microfinance institutions in several countries. The purpose of the study is to share the impressions on the performance of their institutions in the current context. They also show their short and medium-term expectations regarding the outlook of the sector.

The surveys were administered to 51 regulated and non-regulated microfinance institutions in Latin America and the Caribbean (35), Africa and the rest of the world (16), where microfinance plays a fundamental role.
