State of the Digital Financial Services Market in Zambia 2019

In this publication, the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and Bank of Zambia (BoZ) present the findings from the 2020 Annual Provider Survey (APS). The survey was undertaken primarily to measure the progress in digital financial services (DFS) in Zambia in 2019.

APS reports have been published on an annual basis since 2016 and are useful for tracking the growth of DFS in Zambia. This survey gives an indication of how financial services are reaching the various sectors of the population from the supply side and will complement the official Ministry of Finance demand-side FinScope Survey findings on financial inclusion rates in Zambia.
