CGAP MENA Initiative Update – November 2010

This CGAP MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Initiative Update reports on the activities of CGAP’s regional microfinance industry partners during April-September 2010. This issue of the MENA Update features an interview with Nasser Al-Kahtani, director of the Arab Gulf Fund for Development (AGFUND). He discusses AGFUND’s microfinance banks in the Arab world.

The issue announces the recent appointment of Tilman Ehrbeck as chief executive officer. It discusses events conducted by CGAP and its partners in the MENA region. The issue also presents regional updates on the activities of CGAP and its partners in the region as well as country updates from member countries such as Abu Dhabi, Egypt, and Iraq.
