CGAP MENA Initiative Update - April 2009

This CGAP MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Initiative Update reports on the activities of CGAP's regional microfinance industry partners in the MENA region during August 2009-March 2010. It discusses new CGAP publications and research related to microfinance in the region. The update discusses events such as conferences held by CGAP and its regional partners. The update features an interview with Ulrike Lassmann, Director of KfW's Damascus office, in which she shares her insights on the evolution of the regulatory environment in Syria and its impact on the microfinance sector in the country and the region.
