The Feedback Loop: A Process for Enhancing Responsiveness to Clients

What do we do with all this client data?

This study builds on the Ford Foundation Impact study work and examines the lessons learned for institutionalising the feedback into the microfinance institutions' (MFIs) systems and products.

  • Makes recommendations for the development of a toolkit/checklist to help MFIs use the data they (and their evaluators) collect to generate change within the organisation;
  • Sees that MFIs often undergo impact assessment reviews and evaluations but rarely do these studies lead to substantive changes within the institution.
