The proceeds of this Social Bond are to be allocated towards both micro loans up to $10,000 to microenterprises and SME loans up to $1 million to small and medium enterprises.

The grant aims to to strengthen the local economy and increase the revenue potential of small businesses and communities.

The new investments include a $5M local currency facility for Uganda from Nordic Microfinance Initiative (NMI), $6M from existing lender Symbiotics, and $1M from crowdfunding platform Lendahand, all to support growth in Uganda.
