Disaster Risk Reduction for Financial Service Providers: Promising Practices for Building Resilience

Curriculum with flexible, ready-to-use guide, instructional materials and key learnings

The SEEP Network’s global Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Program, funded by the Citi Foundation, seeks to promote more resilient financial services markets in which financial service providers (FSPs) and their clients have the capacity to better anticipate, cope and recover from the negative impacts of disasters.

The curriculum toolkit, “Disaster Risk Reduction for Financial Service Providers: Promising Practices for Building Resiliency,” is a core output of the program. The goal of the curriculum is to create awareness of the need for disaster preparedness in financial services markets and share knowledge around effective disaster risk reduction practices for the industry.

The toolkit provides practitioners working in financial services, disaster risk management, and DRR policy development with a flexible, ready-to-use facilitators' guide, instructional materials and resources that capture key learning from SEEP’s DRR Project.
