Chrissy Martin Meier (Moderator)
Chrissy, Fintech Data Solutions Lead at MIX, has 10 years of experience in expanding access to financial services, working with a diverse set of stakeholders ranging from MNOs, social enterprise, donors, non-for-profits, and multilateral institutions. At MIX, she is leading the development of the Fintech Data Solution through a user-centered product design process. Chrissy started her career launching the first mobile money product in Haiti with the mobile network operator Digicel. Since, she has served as the Customer Experience Manager at the social enterprise Zoona in Zambia and Malawi, and as Senior Digital Finance Specialist with USAID's Digital Development team.
Shannon Dwyer
Shannon is an Investment & Portfolio Associate with Accion Venture Lab, a seed-stage impact investing fund that invests globally in fintech for financial inclusion. Shannon leads Venture Lab’s investing work in the US and is also a member of their global portfolio engagement team, working on the ground with portfolio companies to scope, complete, and implement post-investment consulting projects. Shannon previously worked as a Senior Associate Consultant with Bain & Company, based out of Atlanta, Georgia, and holds a BS from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she majored in Business Administration.
Gayatri Murthy
Gayatri Murthy has spent nearly 10 years researching and consulting on what low-income people want and how digital technologies can help fill the gaps to financial inclusion. At CGAP, she is leading research on how FinTech startups can catalyze financial inclusion. She is also working with policy makers to ensure data protection and privacy policy empowers customers and supports responsible innovation. Ms. Murthy also specializes in training financial institutions to generate high-quality customer insights and then use them to build customer-centric business models. She has a Master’s degree in International Communication from the School of International Service at American University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, India. She is fluent in Hindi.
Jeremy Leach
Jeremy, Founder and CEO of Inclusivity Solutions, is recognized as a global expert in mobile financial services with a particular expertise in microinsurance and digital insurance. He has been involved in advising, researching and implementing initiatives across the world. An experienced executive in both the private and public sector, Jeremy has been a Director at BFA, a global consultancy focused on innovation in responsible financial services, where he advised and supported a number of global insurers and mobile operators. As Divisional Director and Head of Microinsurance at the Hollard Insurance Group he drove a range of insurance innovations internationally, from product development to distribution to consumer engagement. Leading Hollard’s work on m-insurance he established a partnership and pilot with MTN Group and advised on initiatives in Pakistan, China and other countries. Prior to Hollard, Jeremy was Executive Director at FinMark Trust where his leadership on insurance and mobile money had global impact.
