Farah Abdul Sater

Farah joined FinDev's team in March 2024 as the Arabic FinDev Gateway Editor. Her responsibilities include content development and promotion, managing partnerships for knowledge and outreach with key institutions, and organizing online events for financial inclusion practitioners and policymakers in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). 

With a career spanning over 15 years, Farah has led several public information and multimedia projects and portfolios for a number of United Nations agencies. She was the spokesperson for the Middle East and North Africa at the United Nations Migration Agency (2017-2020), where she navigated complex communication landscapes with finesse, particularly in addressing crises along Mediterranean migration routes. 

Farah has also served at the World Bank (2015-2017) as a communications consultant for the Center for Mediterranean Integration, and has contributed extensively to developing the center's knowledge platform. She was also assigned to developing a database on resources related to violent extremism, radicalization and deradicalization. 

A Lebanese native, Farah's academic credentials include a Masters in Media Management from École Supérieure de Journalisme de Lille (France) and a Bachelor in Law from the Lebanese University. In her free time, Farah channels her creativity into graphic design and crafting printable goodies.
