Making Finance Work for Women in India

This virtual thought leadership event by Women’s World Banking aims to bring together industry experts and leaders from the financial service space, PSUs, investors and other stakeholders from Women’s World Banking’s network for a focused discussion on ‘Empowering low-income women towards greater economic resilience under PMJDY’. The event will feature a panel discussion on how FSPs and regulators can effectively support women Jan Dhan customers as the gateway to build households’ economic resilience, role of Public Sector Banks in this journey and need for sex-disaggregated data in designing financial products for women.

At this flagship event, Women’s World Banking will also launch its first industry report in India, highlighting the design of its unique ‘Jan Dhan Plus’ solution, and learnings from a subsequent pilot study that helped nurture regular savings behavior among low-income women in the country.
