Expanding the Frontiers of Financial Inclusion: The Microinsurance Option

This Symposium is organized by the Nigerian Microfinance Platform in partnership with AFOS Foundation, NMP Stakeholders, Nigerian Association of Microfinance Banks (NAMB) and support from OFISD-CBN and NDIC. This year, the event hosts will be collaborating with the Microinsurance Network (Luxembourg) to deliver an excellent session.

The symposium will be chaired by Mrs. Aisha Ahmad, CFA Deputy Governor (Financial System Stability), Central Bank of Nigeria.

The following four papers will be presented at the symposium:

  1. Expanding the Frontiers of Financial Inclusion: The Microinsurance Option.
  2. Microinsurance Delivery in a Pandemic: Market Development Opportunities for Microfinance Banks in Nigeria.
  3. Inclusive Insurance in Nigeria: A Veritable Option for Financial Inclusion.
  4. Making Microinsurance Work: Collaboration for Effective Growth.

The paper presentations will be followed by a panel of discussion titled "Effective Microinsurance Delivery in Nigeria: Collaboration for Inclusiveness" which will feature specialists that are well-grounded on the theme of the symposium.
