Digitalization and Emerging Models of Economic Development in Africa: The Role of Fintech

For the past six years, FSD Kenya has been hosting its annual lecture that continues to contribute to Kenya’s inclusive financial system and support its long-term development goals. Working closely with the government, financial service industry, donors, and other partners, the lecturers share groundbreaking research, innovations, and debate platforms through which notable speakers share candid stellar expert information.

This year, the 2021 virtual annual lecture will feature renowned Professor Bitange Ndemo as the keynote speaker. He is a professor of entrepreneurship at the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a former Permanent Secretary of Kenya’s Ministry of Information and Communication. An author and expert in ICT and its influence on economic development in Africa, he has also been pivotal in developing a road map for digital transformation, open data and simplification of data for ordinary citizens in Africa.
