Digital advances are providing governments with unprecedented opportunities to improve rates of financial inclusion through fintech-driven programs and solutions.

CGAP aims to support up to five MFIs in two workstreams: 1) A measurement workstream to assess the impact that MFIs’ digital solutions, and 2) An automation workstream to automate the repeat loan process, particularly for MFIs’ existing MSE clients.

To be eligible, startups should have annual revenues of up to EUR 250,000  while scaleups need more than EUR 250,000 in annual sales.

Through a series of introspective dialogues, peer learning, and change-generating activities, the aim is to tip the scales for transformative change, not from the top-down, but from the inside out.

CGAP is looking to partner with financial services providers and others involved in providing financial services that are using or would like to use data-driven approaches to expand or improve the way they serve poor people.

The conference is organized by the Glasgow Caledonian University in collaboration with the European Microfinance Platform, and this year, it will focus on exploring and reimagining microfinance as an interdependent tool that contributes to the future envisioned in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The new initiative will support financial service providers to implement client protection.
