What Kenya’s Mobile Money Success Could Mean for the Arab World

The World Bank has published a feature story that details how Kenya successfully implemented its mobile money system, “M-Pesa,” which grew from a simple SMS service to reach 30 million users across 10 countries with financial services, especially those in under-served areas.Today, 96 percent of households outside Nairobi have at least one M-Pesa account.
