New CARE Report Reveals 9x Return on Women's Economic Investments

CARE's 2024 Impact Report, “Her Money. Her Future,” reveals that its Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA) programs generate $9 in women’s income and savings for every $1 invested, setting a new cost-effectiveness benchmark in the global development sector.

The report highlights CARE’s commitment to supporting women’s economic power, market systems change, and scaling proven models, all while fostering local partnerships for sustainable progress. Over 6 million people, 78 percent of whom are women, have joined CARE's savings groups since 2020, resulting in increased income, financial independence, and social cohesion.
