A Manual and a Toolbox to Improve the Financial Health of Microentrepreneurs

Many small businesses face financial issues that threaten their growth and even sometimes their survival. To tackle the problem, ADA partnered with the European Microfinance Network in a project supported by J.P. Morgan, and launched a cross-country research with the objective to improve the financial health of micro-entrepreneurs.

After two years of research including the latest developments brought by the Covid-19 pandemic, a financial health manual is now available. Complete with a toolbox, the manual will guide business advisors, mentors, coaches, and trainers towards improving the assessment of the financial health of microentrepreneurs, and help them deal effectively with financial issues such as cash flow management, confusion between personal and professional finances, access to finance, or late payments.
