IEIN Seeking Collaborators to Establish Market Linkages for Self-Help Groups

Inclusion Economics India (IEIN)(formerly known as EPoD India) at Krea University is seeking social entrepreneurs, NGOs or other private actors working in India interested in liaising with women's economic collectives (Self-Help Groups (SHGs)) to purchase hygiene products, primarily organically produced soap bars. The organizations/persons would act as intermediaries between rural women's collectives (SHGs) and the broad market.

This is a new project that is about to be launched in the Indian State of Chhattisgarh-where IEIN will be conducting a series of surveys and trainings with women across 161 villages of Mahasamund district of Chhattisgarh. The aim of the project is to support SHGs by providing them with business training, production skills and marketing information (specifically for hygiene products) to empower rural women to adopt non-agricultural means of earning a sustainable livelihood.
