Call for Microfinance Institutions and Resource Persons in Microinsurance in Ethiopia

In light of the proclamation and in the framework of the ILO’s collaboration with the Association for Ethiopian Microfinance Institutions (AEMFI), the ILO is organizing a Microinsurance workshop to support building the capacities of a set of microfinance institutions to integrate a suite of microinsurance products within their product portfolio. The training will touch base on microfinance institutions’ diversification of financial products, risk mitigation mechanisms, the importance of selling insurance products for microfinance institutions and how to develop such products. The workshop will provide localized information relevant to the context of Ethiopia and will include case studies from other countries and microfinance contexts to enable to enrich the discussion around best practices.
