Apply for the 13th European Microfinance Research Award

Ahead of the MFC-EMN Annual Conference to be held in Sofia (Bulgaria), on 4-5 June 2020, EMN is pleased to announce the 13th edition of the European Microfinance Research Award. This year’s award is co-sponsored by the European Investment Fund (EIF) and comes with a grant of EUR 2,000.

Papers eligible for selection should present ongoing or finalized research on issues related to microfinance in the European Union and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries exclusively. In line with this year’s conference theme, papers exploring innovation in the inclusive finance sector will be especially valued. Other subjects are equally welcome, e.g. those related to microenterprises finance gap, social and inclusive entrepreneurship, gender issues, green microfinance, microfinance affordability and impact. Young researchers are especially invited to present their work for this award.

The deadline for handing in abstracts is set to Monday, 24 February 2020. Only papers written in English will be accepted.
