Agroeconomist Expert

Microfinanza is looking for a European expert with an agroeconomic profile, with experience in rural development and sustainable natural resource management. The selected profile will be responsible for supporting the Microfinanza team in feasibility studies, new design and management of ongoing projects. The expert will ensure the monitoring of activities on the field and the elaboration of the overall and final financial and narrative reports of the projects. At the same time, the expert will ensure efficient organization of work and proper follow-up of internal work procedures.

Tasks and Responsibilities: 

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences, Economics, Environmental Engineering or similar. 
• Proven professional experience of at least 8 years in the field of agronomy and rural development.
• Good knowledge of agricultural and fisheries context, organic farming, innovative ecological transition processes, production and marketing systems in the MENA region.
• Experience in technical and/or financial support to MSMEs/cooperatives in the agriculture/fisheries and agri-business sectors.
• At least one field experience in the MENA region in the areas covered by the assignment.
