About the Job: 

SEEP is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented, and organized individual to oversee and produce a broad portfolio. More specifically, the Multimedia Design Associate will spearhead the design of innovative learning products, collateral materials and organizational presentations. S/he will also develop and update digital knowledge platforms, support design and development updates to SEEP websites, and lead the design of visual elements (iconography, infographics, multimedia). The Multimedia Design Associate will also coordinate with outside designers and vendors, overseeing execution and ensuring quality control.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and design of SEEP’s knowledge products and platforms.
  • Design, format, and edit learning outputs for a global audience.
  • Design and layout projects in-house (print and digital), working within organizational branding standards and adapting standards where specific outputs require.
  • Optimize publications to make them easy to digest, reader-friendly, visually engaging and with interactive navigation.
  • Manage the SEEP publications pipeline. Liaise between internal teams and external service providers (translators, copyeditors, contract designers, etc.) to set and meet deadlines.
  • Select appropriate stock imagery for organizational projects.
  • Ensure SEEP and donor branding requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain digital learning and exchange platforms.
  • Oversee SEEP’s web platforms, ensuring quality control processes in the development and posting of new material.
  • Create new graphic banners, iconography, infographics and chunkable learning content for websites and social media.
  • Serve as point-of-contact for troubleshooting technical glitches with web host.
  • Execute interactive and animated components of digital projects.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of offshoot web platforms. Optimize responsivity, page load, SEO, for diverse audiences.
  • Support SEEP’s international conferences and institutional materials.
  • Prepare or direct preparation of all print materials, including agendas, presenter templates, name badges, event collateral, signage.
  • Assist with pre-event marketing and promotion, including the development of event logo and visual identity.
  • Create and update SEEP collateral materials and presentations to represent organization to stakeholders.
  • Ensure continuity and quality of organizational branding and messaging across all communications.


  • Proven experience in graphic and multimedia design, the production of publications and collateral materials, and web design.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant work experience (multimedia design & development, multimedia technologies, graphic design, web design, etc.) preferably for an international non-profit organization.
  • Specialized bachelor’s degree. Graduate degree a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop is required. Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite applications like Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Edge is an asset.
  • Fluency in HTML and CSS coding is required. Basic knowledge of Java is an asset.
  • Significant experience and familiarity working with a general web CMS. Experience with Wordpress CMS a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within designated budgets.
  • Self-starter who takes initiatives and can handle complex, technical design projects.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, juggle multiple competing priorities against tight deadlines across international time zones.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior and junior-level team members and stakeholders, both internally and externally, in an international and multi-cultural environment.
  • Available to work full-time and be based at SEEP's office in Rosslyn, Virginia.
