The Africa Board Fellowship (ABF) connects board members and CEOs through peer learning and exchange to strengthen the governance of financial institutions serving low-income clients in sub-Saharan Africa. To date, the Africa Board Fellowship program has included roughly 200 CEOs and board members from institutions across the region. To get a firsthand glimpse into the program, check out these photos, blog posts and videos.
ABF seminars and discussions demonstrate how peer-to-peer exchanges through case studies and interactive role plays are an effective way to understand best governance practices. The ABF program creates a network of inclusive finance leaders that endures beyond the six-month program, with ABF alumni connecting regularly to discuss challenges and opportunities in financial inclusion across Africa.
